#5 – The Statement Engagement Ring Style
These unbelievable rings have a specific purpose – to turn everyone’s head within a ten-mile radius. They are the engagement rings that make a statement; meaning big looks with even bigger price tags. (Can you say ‘Price available upon request’ ?) While I will never see a ring of this caliber on my fourth finger, (lest I become a whole hell of a lot more famous than I am now), a girl can dream. I mean, really… it’s hard to imagine, isn’t it?

Characteristics: Eye catching designs with big bold gemstones and even bigger price tags.
Pros: Who doesn’t love a huge rock on their finger? That’s all.
Cons: With great diamonds, comes great responsibility. Just like any engagement ring, it should be insured, and checked on a regular basis. I, myself, would be a little nervous walking around with a quarter of million dollars or more on my finger. Sometimes I wonder if a ring this size is just too big (this is me speculating); and by that I mean, all it takes is one good whack to chip a diamond (no, they’re not indestructible). Perhaps just a wedding band would be appropriate for everyday wear - such as running errands… or traveling around Europe.
High Polish Favorite: A canary yellow diamond from Tiffany with a double halo design… lovely!
